Community Involvement
In keeping with our mission, one of our passions is making a positive impact on our community and helping women lead healthier lives. In so doing, we have joined forces with two organizations to enlighten women on the importance of preventive measures and maintaining good breast health. The Health Alliance of Winter Garden and Florida Hospital Radiology offer low cost medical attention to women who would normally not be able to get a mammogram. We are very proud of these partnerships and will continue to look at ways we can encourage and help other women in Central Florida.
Our Community Partners:
The Health Alliance Breast Care Project provides low cost routine screening mammograms and diagnostic procedures for uninsured or low-income women. Thanks to a donation and support from The Chrome Angels of Central Florida, the project recently launched a co-pay initiative that will cover a co-pay fee for eligible women to see a primary care doctor related to breast care. The Chrome Angels will be working with Florida Radiology Imaging to provide mobile mammograms at community events on weekends. This will make it easier for women to get their mammograms without missing work or visiting a physician first. Dates and locations will be posted on our website when they become available.
